A weekend general woodwork course with Marc Fish Workshop Bench Space in Newhaven. Marc Fish Workshop Bench Space say it suits beginners and people with some experience.
What is general woodwork?
A general woodwork course teaches the foundations rather than one craft: measuring and marking, sawing straight, planing flat, cutting a joint that actually closes, and sharpening the tools that do it. It is the right starting point if you are not yet sure which direction you want to go in.

Questions people ask before booking
Do I need to bring my own tools?
Marc Fish Workshop Bench Space does not state on their page whether tools are provided for this course. Ask them before you book, because a hand woodworking course can assume you bring your own.
Is it suitable for a complete beginner?
Yes. Marc Fish Workshop Bench Space bills this course as suiting people starting from scratch as well as those with some experience who want to develop further, so a mixed-ability group is expected.
Who do I book with?
You book directly with Marc Fish Workshop Bench Space. Woodwork UK does not take bookings, does not add a fee, and is not paid for the link. They set the dates, the price and the number of places.
