A wood carving course with Smallwoods Association in Telford.
What is wood carving?
Carving means cutting a shape into a block by hand, with gouges and a mallet. It is slower than turning and there is no machine doing any of the work. Beginners usually start with a relief carving, where the design is cut into a flat panel rather than in the round, because it teaches tool control without needing you to think about a shape from every angle at once.
Dates, prices and places are set by Smallwoods Association, not by us, and can change at any time. Always confirm the details with them before you travel.
