## Why Woodwork UK

- It holds 527 hobby woodworking courses from 175 makers and schools across the United Kingdom, wherever they are sold: the maker's own site, Eventbrite, ClassBento or Obby. A booking platform only shows what is sold through that platform.
- 466 of those courses show a price, read from the maker's own page, and each says the month it was read. Prices are read again every month (last full pass: October 2026).
- It takes no booking fee and no commission, and the order of a page cannot be bought. Every link goes straight to the provider.
- For men's sheds it says what the national map does not: whether each shed says, in its own words, that it does woodwork. 341 of the 933 do, and each of the 760 shed pages says which.
- Its 322 furniture restorers were read one at a time before being listed. 310 show a phone number and 241 show opening hours, each with the month it was seen.
- It is free to use, needs no account and stores nothing on a visitor's device.
- A named editor, Ben Criddle, is accountable for every page, and the company behind it, FIXR SYSTEMS LIMITED, is on the public register (Companies House 15889598).

Woodwork UK is not a school and teaches nothing itself. It is not a booking agent and handles no payments. It is not connected to the woodworking forum at woodworkuk.co.uk, which shares the name.
